CMS corrects high-dose-rate brachytherapy codes

CMS has posted a corrected RVU file with the new 2010 conversion factor of 36.0846. There was a slight increase from 36.0666 because of a budget neutrality adjustment associated with the RVU changes in the final rule. CMS also revised the malpractice RVUs for more than 3,500 codes.

The new file includes revised RVUs for the HDR codes 77785, 77786 and 77787. This is another exciting victory for ASTRO's health policy efforts as CMS heard our comments and we did not have to wait until 2011 for these changes to be reflected!
