New Appointments

Thomas Galloway, M.D., joined the Fox Chase Cancer Center Department of Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia. Dr. Galloway completed his residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., this year and specializes in treating patients with skin cancer, as well as head and neck cancers, including the mouth, tongue, tonsils, pharynx and larynx.

Anna Olson, M.D., has joined the University of Wisconsin Cancer Center-Riverview in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. As part of her position she will be working with a team of physicians and scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wis., to bring new treatments to cancer patients.

Dominic Nguyen, M.D., has joined the Hembree Mercy Cancer Center at St. Edward Mercy Clinic in Fort Smith, Ark., as a radiation oncologist. Dr. Nguyen recently completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.

Recognition

Steven Hightower, M.D., a radiation oncologist at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, La., received the Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award from the Commission on Cancer. The recognition is awarded to individuals who go above and beyond the regular scope of their duties in their contributions to cancer programs.
