Elizabeth Ceilley, M.D., was named medical director of Boulder Cancer Care in Boulder, Colo.

Richard Deming, M.D., of Mercy Therapeutic Radiology Associates in Des Moines, Iowa, was featured in a July 28, 2010, article in the Des Moines Register. The Q and A article, discussed how Dr. Deming got into radiation oncology, the major projects coming up at his center, and how these projects will impact the public and improve services.

A July 27, 2010, The (Montreal, Canada) Gazette article, featured Margaret Holbrook, M.D., an Emeritus Member from Pinellas, Fla., for her annual and biannual trips to the Lazy E-L Ranch, a working 2,500-head cattle operation and guest ranch in Roscoe, Mont. Dr. Holbrook said, “I love working cattle. It makes it so much more interesting . . . You feel like you’ve got a skill. You have a sense of accomplishment.”


Lisa Kachnic, M.D., of Boston Medical Center in Boston, was elected as a trustee of the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Kachnic was nominated by ASTRO for this position and will serve a four-year term.  ABR trustees participate in leadership and decision making to carry out the ABR’s mission and set standards for the board certification process in radiology for initial certification and maintenance of certification.
